Grandma & Aunt Liz's visit

My mom, Grandma Lynn, and my sister Elizabeth came down for a visit last week. It was so wonderful to watch Aida interact with them! Grandma got to feed her, give her her bathes at night, play with her, take her shopping, and even 'try' to put her to sleep (this is a very difficult task these days and it is not accomplished easily, even by mom). Aida really took to Aunt Liz; constantly wanting to be picked up by her and handing her toys and books to play with. She even gave Aunt Liz kisses without her even having to ask for them, too cute! As much fun as it was to watch them all together, it also makes me sad that Aida does not get more time to spend with family.

While they were here we took Aida to the Atlanta Zoo. It is a nicely shaded zoo, but I was a bit surprised at how small it is. We also spent some time at the pool and even took Aida for her first trip to the beach. She loved splashing around in the water and 'swimming' to everyone. As all Grandma's like to do, Grandma Lynn took Aida shopping. We were picking out some clothes for her and letting Aida hold onto them. Once she had a few things we were walking away and Aida started to sign "more", as if saying she wanted "more clothes". This was just too funny to watch. She also thinks that if you are eating something and she wants some she can sign more and you must give it to her.

Even the times we just spent relaxing at home were fun. Aida misses having people to cater to her every need and can't wait to have them back again.
