Looking back at when she first started...she was so tiny!
When we moved to Texas, I decided to continue her in gymnastics, but I wanted to find someplace with a little more structure. So, this time around we went with ASI Gymnastics, a true gymnastics academy. She began with an amazing teacher, Wally, whom Aida took to right away. He provided the structure she needed, while letting her have fun!
Having a trampoline of her own in Georgia (it is in storage now), she loved this part!
Walking the balance beam...she learned to go frontwards, backwards and sideways.
Bear crawls across the bars. She has a lot of strength to do this alone!
If Wally noticed them doing something well, they got to ring the bell!
This is probably her favorite activity...to swing from the rope and than drop into the pit. It took her a few weeks to feel confident enough to actually drop off, but she got it! After her turn, than it was time to jump into the pit on her own. For such a daring child, this also took her a few weeks to feel confident enough to do alone, but now she yells "cannonball" and jump as far as possible!
After 7 months of doing her class with mommy, it is now time for her to move up to a class where mommy will watch from the side. We are taking the month of August off, as her teacher was switched and she had a hard time adjusting to the new one, but in September she will be back in with the "big girls", unless of course she decides she wants to try something different.
