I have to say raising children away from family with today's technology makes it so much easier to keep in touch and let them get to know their far away family. I think that Skype has really helped Aida know her grandparents a little better, so it is a little easier to adjust when they come to town.
While they were here we had some fun at home, as well as a few fun adventures away from home.
We baked some spring cookies!
Gotta love that after nap hair!
Had a few tea parties with Grandma, Grandpa & princesses
Had fun playing cowgirl in the new cowgirl clothes that Grandma brought her!
A few new toys seem to always be in the cards for Aida when Grandparents come to town.
Playing with her new princess Legos and stuffed animals
Enjoying her new easel, complete with a chalk board and paints!
We took a trip to the Fort Worth Botanical Gardens to see the butterflies! Aida did so well not touching them or picking any flowers!
Intently watching the butterfly!
She thought it was very neat that the butterflies "ate" fruit, just like she does!
Having a little picnic lunch outside!
Everyone that comes to visit must take a trip to the zoo. Our zoo is so wonderful and Aida loves showing off her favorite animals.
The crocodile that swam right up by us while we were pretending to be kings and each our lunch.
Feeding the birds...one of Aida's favorite parts!
And a trip to Fort Worth would not be complete without heading down to the Stockyards for an afternoon.
Checking out the longhorn steers with Grandpa Dan.
We had a wonderful visit with Grandma & Grandpa and can't wait to see them again at the end of May!
